Why did you work with Logan Hugeny? I get it was a commission and not everyone does work with people they particularly like but this seems to be stretching it a bit. I'm sorry, but crap autotune without any sense of rhythm that blatantly plagiarizes other songs without giving them crediting them or titling the video as a parody of said song instead of as a "musical", is not what i'd call worth while. But ayy, you got work out of it, so that's something.

Stay Safe.

ThePivotsXXD responds:

Logan is a very close friend of mine in real life, we wanted to try something together to see how it would turn out.

Its been known for quite some time, even before the release of the Xbox One, that Microsoft will eventually die down. They still use alot of consumer tactics and which are still prevelent on the previous system today. It's a topic that alot of people have already spoken by now, however, i feel that you conveyed your stance on the issue, marvellously. You have some very hearty character designs with distinct expressions with a key sense of fluidity which is set a match perfectly by the floaty animation. The key poses are solid, your colour are neat and eye-grabbing and the comedic blocking is on point but all of those have ran through a majority of your cartoons as i can see, so all i can say in that regard is keep it up.

The only issue i had was with the topic itself, at this point, it's common knowledge that Microsoft are shooting themselves in the foot with their practises and a number of people have discussed this over the last 3 years or so. Despite that however, with the comedic delivery along with the joyous visuals, this holds up on it's own in terms of originality.

A superb job, i look forward to the next cartoon.

Ex-Poser responds:

Hey thanks for spending time on this chunky review Conahugh! Love lengthy ones. I've certainly gone into a more smoother approach to animating when considering key poses and such, it really speeds up the animation progress twice as fast. When considering the idea on this topix, the problems with the consoles and previous ones they released before hand weren't apparent to me until I bought the newest system myself, and seeing how I was a true xbox nut to begin with made me deny all the talk about how bad and stupid they really were for a long period of time.
So I was a little late especially when the topic was totally obvious, but I hope it's still fresh for people who aren't familiar with xbox and the stupid concepts they have considered and have in place. Thanks again for the review!

Before is say anything, this cartoon was very easy to look at. You have a very appealing style, beautiful colours, very nicely detailed backgrounds with alot of life in them and this short in particular was very well animated. On a technical level, this was incredibly well done and i commend you on your artistic efforts, everything in that regard was very well crafted. With that said, i'm sick of seeing Undertale parodies on this website, i've seen more Undertale parodies over the last 3 months than i've seen Minecraft parodies over the last 5 years, and it's plaguing the website. I wouldn't mind so much, and im sorry to make this statement on your video in particular but it genuinely saddens me when people, who have worked on a story and concept or have written a comedic piece and has the artistic skills to back those up with their animation skills, are pushed out of the top 5, simply because they couldn't cater to people looking for Undertale parodies or fan-films. I have no problem with the game, and 'm not saying that all Undertale parodies, or parodies in general are bad, but the majority of the ones that are getting the front page spot are ones that are less than a minute long and having nothing to offer but a squirt of try-hardy quirkiness. The game is expansive and theres alot to it, i know, so why aren't people doing more with the material at hand, theres alot to be done and it seems that alot of people are just content with the bare minimum simply because it is their favourite game or they ride along the fandom ready to soak up any kind of Undertale based content whether it be good, bad or mediocre. In this case, you made a pun and pulled a funny face.

I appreciate the effort that went into the technical area of this cartoon, i'm not specifically targetting you when i criticize the writing in most of these parodies. You are not the prime example of a bad Undertale parody or why i hate fan-films of the game, as this is something that has been apparent on Newgrounds for several months now, but it's getting obnoxious to see it so often and with so little attention going into to making it interesting, engaging or funny. Please do not take this review to heart, and i'm sorry if i cause any offense, i'm just trying to make it clear that i don't think this type of content is acceptable with the type of quality control that is on Newgrounds nowadays.

Good Luck with your future projects, i hop to see more of your work soon. Stay Safe

Thank you for taking your time for this review. It was a great read and I will stay safe??

As per usual, the cartoon looks stunning, your colours are top notch and the level of creativity is down right fascinating. I didn't laugh as much as i did from your last cartoon, but i still enjoyed this a lot as a little spurt of experimentation. If i interpreted your efforts incorrectly, i apologize. Regardless, great work as always.

Blordow responds:

Thanks man, I really just wanted to focus on the art and visual for this one. Not really much of a joke, just a fun experience. Cheers!

The role of teacher is often formal and ongoing, carried out at a school or other place of formal education. In many countries, a person who wishes to become a teacher must first obtain specified professional qualifications or credentials from a university or college. These professional qualifications may include the study of pedagogy, the science of teaching. Teachers, like other professionals, may have to continue their education after they qualify, a process known as continuing professional development. Teachers may use a lesson plan to facilitate student learning, providing a course of study which is called the curriculum.

A teacher's role may vary among cultures. Teachers may provide instruction in literacy and numeracy, craftsmanship or vocational training, the arts, religion, civics, community roles, or life skills.

A teacher who facilitates education for an individual may also be described as a personal tutor, or, largely historically, a governess.

In some countries, formal education can take place through home schooling. Informal learning may be assisted by a teacher occupying a transient or ongoing role, such as a family member, or by anyone with knowledge or skills in the wider community setting.

DavisToons responds:

Huh. That's pretty interesting.

Never have been, and probably never wiil be, a fan of Markiplier, as someone who really finds his style of commentary to be incredibly forced to the point of him just nervously babbling like a mongoloid for laughs or speaking plain gibberish, I cannot stand listening to the guy. No matter what Markiplier cartoon I watch, the chance of me laughing or finding interest in the content is very slim, so for this, i'll just go over the cartoon itself as opposed to the audio aspect.

Your artwork is incredibly clean, from the character designs to the backgrounds, your art is incredibly appealing to look at . The animation was nice too, I especially enjoyed the part where the eye slips out of her mouth, the animation of the blood was really cool looking. One question though regarding the lip syncing, a lot of the time it just seemed like the mouth was only ever moving up and down with a couple of extra movements, was this because it was an anime game and you wanted to make fun of that style or was it an actual issue with the lip syncing. I only clicked onto it at the end and had to watch it again to make sure. I also really liked all the hidden references too, I saw a poster for Mac and Jim and the Anime Amigos dolls which were a neat bonus to look out for.

Overall, I really like this cartoon, however in my eyes I just think its unfortunate that all this work went to an audio clip from a Markiplier lets play, I don't mean to offend if you actually like his content but I just think its a shame to see so much effort go towards something like that. Obviously, its not what most people would call "wasted talent" because you can learn a lot from this in the future, animation wise, and you probably have learnt a lot since making the it. If you like this kinda stuff, im not gonna stop you from making content about it and don't let other people stop you from doing it if you like it, draw what you want and you'll automatically learn from it, It's just that this isn't my cup of tea and i'm not gonna lie about it.

Anyway, great work and good luck with your future projects

MackleNG responds:

i always love reading your reviews man, the lip sync wasn't mocking anime i kinda messed up on it, that's something that needs improving, tbh i'm not really that big of a fan of mark, i watch his content from time to time, but i'm not what you call a fanboy and yes i learned quite a lot from this, this animation got me to experiment with using 3s instead of 2s most of the time, anyway thanks for the review man

I have only seen a few entries for NATA so far, and most stuck to either trying to funny or formulaically list factoids which, while interesting to some degree, didn't really allow them to shine through and take a few opportune risks for their work. The best way I can describe this is that it's human. Everything about rains true and by using the physical, emotional and deep psychological traits of the human body, you created a story that was likable, funny, charming and relatable. It may be simplistic but, again, it is human and the contrast between the facts of life and, well, life itself was a truly phenomenal artistic decision. Based on the way you able paint a very realistic picture of just a small portion of some most people's lifes, alone, should be enough for you to win the competition.

Now with my pretentious rambling out the way, I better start talking about the technical side. The art was really cute. A vibrant yet simple colour palette really made the characters and environment stand out. I also like the designs, too. As said before, they are really cute designs and you did a fantastic job at making sure that these designs were not cluttered or overdone, which for the story you were trying to tell could have been a misfire. The comedy, while minimal yet present, was really quick, undisruptive and added to the charm, making characters interactions feel just a bit more genuine. The animation was fluid, very nicely paced and this shines through when the characters express their emotions through body languages and visual cues which were heavily complemented by the strong poses (Sorry if any of that sounds inaccurate on a technical level, i'm not an animator.)

In conclusion, this is pretty much flawless, what needed to be there, was there. Not overdone, or underdone. The perfect emotion, interaction, art, animation, aesthetic, great sense of pacing, character movement, blocking. All down to a tee. I wish you good luck in the tournament and to all your other work in the future.
